In 2019, I worked with the Summit Area YMCA's Development team to create the SAY's first digital Annual Report website, where members, community members, staff, volunteers and more could easily view and access impactful financial information from the year prior. Creating a digital Annual Report website aligned with the Y's strategic goals in becoming a more environmentally responsible organization.
While I love print design, I am also a huge proponent of streamlining processes and supporting eco-friendly practices. Each page of the printed Annual Report was translated into a separate web page online.
Digitizing the Annual Report minimized up to 6 pages dedicated to an expansive donor list in the printed booklet, further reducing printing expenses. The Annual Report website allowed for the inclusion of video testimonials, photo galleries and links to more information and resources, which in turn, increased engagement and awareness of the Y's impact in the community.
Of course, a print version was still designed and printed for specific in-person meetings, but significantly less booklets were printed than prior years, which saved on printing expenses.
